Terms of use
Effective date: [EFFECTIVE DATE]. These terms cover your use of tenthhourlabs.com and the free content on it. Paid offers have their own terms, linked from each checkout: thecohort terms, the kit license that ships with the paid kit, and the services agreement for 1-on-1 and firm work. By using the site you agree to what follows.
1. Not legal advice
Tenth Hour Labs LLC provides education and technology services, not legal services. Nothing on this site, in the newsletter, in a kit, in a session or in any email from us is legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is formed. Harrison Huijskens is a law student, not a licensed attorney. We teach how to use tools and build workflows. What the law or the rules of professional conduct require for your matter, your practice or your clients is a question for a licensed attorney or your ethics counsel.
AI tools make mistakes, including confident ones. You are responsible for verifying any output before you rely on it, and for deciding what information you put into any tool.
2. Who may use the site
Anyone may read the site. Paid offers are for adults only: you must be 18 or older to enroll, buy or book. If you use the site on behalf of a firm, you confirm you have authority to agree to these terms for it.
3. Our content
The text, file trees, templates, images, videos and code on this site belong to Tenth Hour Labs LLC or to Harrison Huijskens, who publishes content under his own name. You may read it, link to it, and quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy pages, republish the content, or sell it, without written permission. Free downloads carry the license stated with them. Trademarks mentioned on the site, including Claude, Anthropic, GitHub, Stripe, Polar, Proton, Cloudflare and Kit, belong to their owners. Nothing here implies their endorsement of us.
4. Your content
If you send us a message, a question or feedback, you give us permission to use it to answer you and to improve what we offer. We will not quote you publicly or use you as a testimonial without a separate written release.
5. Links to other sites
We link to third-party sites and services, including checkout and booking pages run by Stripe, Polar and Proton. Their terms and privacy policies govern your use of them. We are not responsible for their content or conduct.
6. What we do not promise
The site and its free content are provided as they are, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the site will be available without interruption, or that the content is complete, current or error-free. We do not promise any result from using what we teach: no outcome in any matter, no amount of time saved, no change in revenue. Results depend on you, your practice and your judgment.
7. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Tenth Hour Labs LLC and Harrison Huijskens are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost business, arising from your use of the site or its content, however caused. Our total liability for any claim relating to the site is limited to one hundred dollars ($100), or the amount you paid us for the offer the claim concerns, whichever is greater. Some states do not allow some of these limits. Where that is the case, they apply to the extent permitted.
8. Indemnity
If your use of the site or its content in violation of these terms causes a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of defending it, including attorney fees.
9. Acceptable use
Do not scrape the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, send it malicious traffic, impersonate us, or use the content to break any law or any professional rule that applies to you. We may block access to anyone who does.
10. Michigan law and venue
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site or these terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Ingham County, Michigan, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The effective date at the top changes when we do. Material changes are announced by email to customers and in the newsletter. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it.
